DIVERSIFY YOUR (NUTRITION) FEED

Last week on the blog, we talked about the general idea of diversifying your conception of what “healthy” looks like. This is also a reminder to make sure that you’re getting your nutrition information for diverse sources. So this week, I’m here to provide some links to creators and resources to help you dig in further.

Some of these resources are going to be nutrition education forward, and some are going to be more cooking education forward. With recipes, not all of these creators are interested in whether or not these foods are macro-friendly, so don’t necessarily be expecting these to lead with information on carbs, protein, and fat. However – you should be able to recognize those building blocks in any recipe and determine how it fits into your personal nutrition.

Also: you can always put a recipe into MFP to determine what the nutrition looks like to see how you can fit it into your day!

This is just a (very) short list for where to start as you look to diversify your social media feed and nutrition inspiration! As we talked about in last week’s blog post, food is culture and connection and celebration and history. As we diversify our view of “health” and nutrition, we also learn how flexible we can be with our own food choices.
